This trip to the beach in Santos was a very much anticipated one for Anders and I. In the last few weeks Anders had kept up contact with Airton Tamashiro a employment service specialist in the beach side city of São Vicente. Plans were made and on Tuesday Anders and I were on a bus headed to the famous beach town of Santos! Santos has one of the biggest seaports in all of Latin America, handling over 72 million tons in 2006. According to the Guinness Book of World Records Santos also has the largest beach front garden in the entire world! Our travel to Santos was pretty unexciting, however I did fully enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains and the city of Santos in the distance. When we arrived we stayed at the Ibis Hotel, beach front of course! It being a brief one minute walk to the beach I thought I was in paradise. You can probably imagine what we did as soon as we arrived in Santos. Yup we went to the beach! The beach was absolutely beautiful right when we arrived with the sunset casting an almost magical spell over the place. I also was happy to find that the water was pretty warm allowing us to swim pretty far out to catch some big waves. Stray thoughts like this is paradise, this is awesome, and best internship ever kept passing through my head! I mean even if you're super jealous you have to admit this is a pretty sweet internship!
